Dr. Andrew Hartz
My work focuses on helping people with stress, relationship problems, anger, anxiety, and depression. I specialize in treating people with several overlapping areas of concern.
I’m currently a professor of clinical psychology at Long Island University in Brooklyn. Drawing on years of training and practice, I provide psychotherapy that addresses all aspects of my patients’ goals and personalities. I received training at Columbia Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the William Alanson White Institute, and I’ve completed coursework at Columbia University, Columbia Medical Center, Haverford College, and Long Island University. I use evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic psychotherapies to address the unique needs of each patient.
